NON PLAYING CLUB MEMBERS

If your not a player but would like to be involved in supporting our Club we have a number of roles that you might be interested in

NON - PLAYERS

We have 3 main supportive roles within our Club

1 - COACHING

We field teams in all age divisions and every team including out Seniors teams love the support of a Coach

2 - PARENT MANAGER

No team is complete unless they have a Team Manager to support the Coach with off court jobs.

3 - UMPIRING

Our club is interested in supporting and mentoring any person who would like to develop their umpiring skills. 

 

What you need to Umpire for FMNC at Illawarra District Netball Association

Junior & Intermediate Game

You must have completed the following courses 

  • Foundation Umpire Education Course and achieved 100% 

  • Rules of Theory Examination and achieved 70% 

Senior Umpires 

You must have completed the following Courses 

  • Rules of Theory Examination and achieved 70%

COACHING & MANAGING FOR FMNC

Mentoring & Support

Club coaches will be provided with a Club coaching manual at the beginning of the season, with ongoing mentoring support offered throughout the season as needed by a Committee member

Team Managers will take the lead  form their Teams Coach and will be a communication liaison between the

Coach &  Parents

Our Committee will support you throughout the season

as needed 

Netball Australia provides great resources with training plans, skills and drills.

The Knee Program can be used as part of every warm-up and cool-down to support player injury prevention.

We highly recommend and support our coaches undertake coaching development and accreditation to further their skills and confidence via The Netball Learning Centre

Umpiring Games

What you need to Umpire for FMNC at Illawarra District Netball Association

Junior & Intermediate Game

You must have completed the following courses 

  • Foundation Umpire Education Course and achieved 100% 

  • Rules of Theory Examination and achieved 70% 

Senior Umpires

You must have completed the following Courses 

  • Rules of Theory Examination and achieved 70% 

  • Most Senior teams are required to provide 1-2 Duty Umpires each week to umpire Senior games​​

Umpire Documentation

If you would like to umpire, obtain your certificates and then send them over to our Umpire Co Ordinator via fairymeadow.umpires@gmail.com

For any Umpire 18yrs+ you will also need to provide us with your WWC

Netball Australia offers Umpiring Accrediation details on their website. Please click on the link above for more details.

Accreditation and Learning is available via Netball Learning Centre.

Our Club will support anyone interested in developing their umpiring skills through IDNA Umpiring Programs.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

A WWC is required by any person acting in any non-playing capacity within the club and volunteering to work with children under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years of age you are not required to provide a WWC.

Your WWC number and expiry date is required when registering.​
